About the Role

Network Finance is seeking a highly skilled Model Validation Analyst (Decision Science) to join our team in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a key member of our decision sciences team, you will be responsible for conducting independent validations of models across multiple domains and developing challenger models to enhance existing ones. You will collaborate closely with modelling and business teams to provide technical oversight and effective challenges, while supporting sound financial decision-making, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent validations of models across multiple domains.
  • Develop and test challenger models to benchmark and enhance existing models.
  • Analyse, monitor, and challenge scorecards, ensuring that they are accurate, reliable, and compliant.
  • Collaborate with modelling and business teams to provide technical oversight and effective challenges.
  • Support sound financial decision-making, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years’ experience in scorecard building, development, validation, and monitoring (credit risk or marketing models).
  • Experience with data mining and predictive modelling.
  • Solid understanding of the credit lifecycle.
  • Collaborative approach and strong communication skills for working with both technical and business teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Data Science.
