Requirements:
- A relevant education or language qualification.
- A degree in education will be highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience, ideally in an educational or residential environment.
- Teaching, facilitation, or hostel environment experience.
- Experience working with children or teenagers (teaching, mentoring, or youth leadership).
- Strong skills in life coaching or life skills facilitation (e.g. communication, conflict resolution).
- Valid first aid training and ability to handle emergencies with calmness and fairness.
- Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
- Ability to engage effectively with learners, parents, and staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an approachable, warm personality.
- Respect for diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Flexibility to adapt to varied working hours and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily supervision and management of children’s schedules.
- Overseeing children’s wellbeing, including health and safety.
- Managing staff and ensuring high standards of excellence.
- Coordinating and overseeing courses, activities, and assessments.
- Delivering interactive and practical sessions that encourage participation.
- Guiding children in developing leadership styles and life skills.
- Facilitating group discussions, activities, and roleplays.
- Creating a safe, respectful, and inspiring learning environment.
- Supporting the rollout of holiday programmes and academic excellence courses.
