Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring workplace health and safety compliance across all operations, implementing safety protocols, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective measures.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures and programs.
- Facilitate safety training sessions and awareness campaigns for staff.
- Maintain accurate safety records and reports.
- Advise management on health and safety improvements and compliance requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- SACPCMP CHSO Registration is mandatory.
- Diploma/Degree or higher qualification in Construction OHS, Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in a safety officer role within construction, industrial, or operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple safety initiatives simultaneously.
