About the Role
As a Safety Officer in our manufacturing environment in the Western Cape, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment. You will promote a proactive safety culture by conducting inspections and audits, identifying risks on the factory floor, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting inspections and audits to identify risks and ensure compliance with OHSA and NOSA standards
- Leading safety training and awareness initiatives
- Managing safety administration, including maintaining accurate records, compiling reports, tracking trends, and keeping all safety appointments up to date
- Contributing to HSE activities such as risk assessments and simulations
- Promoting strong housekeeping, hygiene, and adherence to safety and quality standards in line with HACCP and ISO requirements
