About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join their team in Cape Town. As a senior technical partner, you will play a meaningful role in shaping the frontend engineering approach and contributing to the evolution of their modern Angular platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Combine day-to-day feature delivery with architectural influence, mentorship, and ownership of frontend standards
- Work on a modern Angular platform used in production at scale, helping evolve its architecture, performance, and developer experience
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product, and design to contribute to design systems, shape state management approaches, and define testing, accessibility, and performance handling across applications
Requirements
- Significant professional experience building and maintaining production Angular applications
- Strong knowledge of modern Angular features and patterns
- Experience working with Nx monorepos
- Deep understanding of frontend architecture and state management
- Experience contributing to or building design systems
- Strong focus on performance optimisation and accessibility
- Handson experience testing Angular applications (unit, integration, E2E)
- Comfortable acting as a senior technical voice while remaining delivery-focused
Qualifications
Relevant software engineering experience preferred. Formal qualifications beneficial but not essential.
