Job Description
To support the Contract Manager in the efficient management of the site allocated to them, by assisting with administrational, supervision as well as logistical needs. Responsibilities Assistant with the operational management of the site
- Support the Contract Manager by ensuring that waste area is clean, productive and operational
- Ensure that the site has the correct stock, consumables and that the material is in good condition
- Assist in the capturing of all data as required by the Contract Manager
- Check that data is captured correctly and sent to the client or data department when needed
Operational requirements
- Planning of personnel to meet the required standard and financial target
- Take full responsibility of running the whole site operations effectively
- Able to delegate tasks to staff while working on the additional required tasks
- Identify and weigh waste
- Load waste into the skips and always keep the area clean
- Timeously book collections with the relevant service providers
- Report all irregularities that occur on site
- Finish all the tasks that are assigned to you either by the client or your manager (relating to your job)
- Adhere to the site rules and safety standards
- Separation of recycling streams as per their group (office paper, plastic, cardboard, etc.)
Client relations
- Liaising with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
- Meeting with clients and addressing previous and new issues
- Providing feedback on improvements and issues resolved to WastePlan management
Staff management
- Report resignations and daily absenteeism to the Contract Manager immediately
- Ensuring that staff is working according to the company rules and procedures and that they are as efficient and productive as possible
Reporting
- Daily reporting on absenteeism, damages, mileage and IOD’s to the Contract manager
Equipment and maintenance
- Report breakdowns to the Contract Manager immediately
- Follow up on repairs that need to be done on equipment
Requirements
- Matric / grade 12
- Driver’s licence
- Forklift driver’s licence
- Clean criminal record
- Computer literate
- Excellent knowledge of different material streams
