About the Role
Time Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Production Manager to join their team in Ceres, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of production operations, leading teams, and ensuring quality control. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule work – allocate resources & meet deadlines
- Lead teams, set targets, manage performance, discipline, and training; oversee foremen
- Implement checks, reduce rework, standardise processes
- Manage job cards, workflow, and visual systems
- Control parts and consumables; minimise waste and theft
- Monitor labour, job costing, downtime; identify bottlenecks
- Enforce safety standards and PPE usage
Requirements
- Matric
- Qualification in Management or Mechanics
- Minimum 5 years’ managerial experience leading teams
- Strong technical knowledge (vehicles, pumps, sanitation systems)
- Hands-on problem solver and willing to physically assist teams
- Organized, structured and productivity-driven
- Focus on quality, deadlines and cost control
- Confident staff manager (firm but fair)
- Comfortable with admin, systems and process improvement
Qualifications
- Technical skills: vacuum pumps, electrical, hydraulics, water/waste systems, plastic welding, pressure systems trailers/mobile units
- Basic fleet management + financial/costing understanding
- Exposure to construction industry advantageous
