About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead our R63 “One Stop” Co-op store in Williston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the store’s operations, including daily activities, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and organized store environment, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Monitor and control store standards, discipline, and net height, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Supervise and train 11 personnel members, setting clear expectations and providing guidance to improve performance.
- Manage inventory levels, monitor stockroom organization, and optimize product offerings to meet customer needs.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to the Financial Management Team.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices, and manage orders effectively.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and promptly, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Develop strategies to increase foot traffic and sales growth in the store.
Requirements
- Minimum Matric or National Senior Certificate qualification.
- 1-2 years of experience in retail management or related fields (e.g., small shop, convenience store, general trader).
- Required skills include:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Analytical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Interpersonal skills and conflict resolution techniques.
