Hospitality and Outdoor – Assistant Lodge Manager & Field Guide (Couple Position) Luxury Lodge – Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal Qualifications & Requirements Assistant Lodge Manager Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role within a safari lodge NightsBridge experience advantageous Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Interest in marketing and social media preferred Vibrant, engaging personality Ability to motivate staff and maintain high team morale Previous experience in a strong 3- or 4‑star lodge environment Field Guide FGASA NQF 2 1.5 – 3 years guiding experience Strong birding knowledge First Aid Level 1 Valid Driver’s License and PDP DEAT / NDT registered Key Responsibilities Assistant Lodge Manager Work independently and manage daily lodge operations Guest-focused role with a strong emphasis on hosting and meal service Guest check‑ins and check‑outs Oversee housekeeping, kitchen, chefs, and FOH teams Coordinate table settings and dining service with FOH staff Conduct room checks Manage petty cash, stock control, stock takes, and ordering Assist with budgeting reconciliations and invoicing Handle reservations Field Guide Conduct twice‑daily game drives Host and engage guests throughout their stay Support guests with photography opportunities and birding interests Assist with basic maintenance when required Contribute to a family‑friendly, interactive guest experience Package Offered Field Guide: R9 500 per month (depending on qualifications – this is for NQF 2 Nature Site Guide) Assistant Lodge Manager: R11 000 per month Meals on duty access to pantry off duty 7 days off per month Paid annual leave Onsite accommodation provided Start Date March 2026
