Our client is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team in Umlaas (Camperdown), KwaZulu-Natal. The company specializes in abnormal road transport, offering tailored logistics solutions for oversized and heavy cargo across Southern Africa. They are known for their commitment to safety, precision, and reliability in handling complex transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the abnormal transport division, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.

• Coordinate with logistics teams to plan and execute transportation of oversized loads.

• Manage and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve service delivery and reduce costs.

• Ensure all transport activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.

• Lead and mentor a team of drivers and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in operations management within the transport or logistics industry, preferably in abnormal load transportation.

• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards in South Africa.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Ability to develop and implement operational strategies effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
