Maintenance Nozzle Changer Reporting to: Operations Sector: Manufacturing Seniority Level: Mid-Career (1 – 2 yrs exp) Type: Temp Region: Gauteng Location: Alrode Alberton Job Summary The Maintenance Nozzle Changer is a technical role responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance related to industrial nozzles and fluid application systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, be detail-oriented, and adhere to strict safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Nozzle maintenance: Perform cleaning, inspection, repair, and replacement of nozzles and related components. System setup: Assist with the setup and tear-down of equipment, including the installation of mold inserts and other machine parts. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues that may impact nozzle performance or cause clogs. Preventive maintenance: Execute routine preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, lubricating equipment, and replacing filters to ensure continuous operation. Quality control: Monitor and test nozzle performance to ensure precise and efficient application of materials, and calibrate systems as needed. Safety and compliance: Adhere to all company and industry health and safety regulations, such as proper lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain a clean work area. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of all maintenance activities performed, including repairs and part replacements. Inventory management: Assist with inventory checks for replacement parts and tools. Qualifications Experience: 1-2 years in maintenance or technical role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environment. Technical Skills: Mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, ability to interpret technical drawings. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, proactive problem-solving, team player. Physical Requirements: Must handle physically demanding tasks and work in varied environments.
