You’ll manage everything from daily transactions to multi-entity consolidations – and play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial clarity across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process daily financial transactions including AP, AR, and GL entries
• Execute vendor and internal payments accurately and on time
• Manage bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist with liquidity planning
• Compile and analyse monthly management and financial reports
• Support month-end and year-end processes
• Apply accurate hedge accounting and maintain required documentation
• Coordinate hedge transactions and report on positions and performance
• Consolidate financial information across multiple entities
• Reconcile and eliminate intercompany transactions
• Prepare audit documentation and respond to audit queries
• Strengthen financial controls, processes, and system workflows
• Assist with financial structures for new projects and initiatives

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (essential)
• Completed SAICA articles at a registered audit firm
• Minimum 2 years’ post-articles experience
• Experience with hedge accounting and financial consolidations (non-negotiable)
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and standard costing
• Experience in a multi-entity environment is advantageous
• High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication skills
• Able to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure
• Organised, proactive, and collaborative in a team environment

• Manage the full accounting function (cashbook, creditors, debtors, general ledger, and reconciliations).
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
• Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain accurate stock and cost records related to fresh produce.
• Assist with financial analysis to support operational decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements (VAT, PAYE, etc.).
• Continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls.

 
 
 
Requirements

• Completed SAIPA or SAICA Articles (essential).
• BCom Accounting or related qualification.
• Minimum 2–4 years’ post-article experience (agriculture, FMCG, or manufacturing environment preferred).
• Strong Excel and accounting system skills (Sage, Xero, or similar).
• Knowledge of costing and stock control in a production or trading environment is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and a proactive mindset.

– Minimum 2–3 years’ accounting experience (open to strong junior or mid-level candidates).
– Highly proficient in Excel and general accounting systems.

– Open to candidates with MPC experience or background in modern finance environments.
