Job Duties:

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, maintaining records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other financial activities. They will support senior accountants with audits, budgeting, and financial analysis. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Required Qualifications:

• CPA, CMA qualification or similar in accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong attention to detail
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Education:

A Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience:

1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance role

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of financial principles and practises
• Ability to work with financial data and spreadsheets
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or ACCA qualification
• Experience with financial reporting
• Experience with tax calculations and reporting

Working Conditions:

The Junior Accountant will work in an office environment, typically during regular business hours. Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods such as month-end or year-end closing.
