This role oversees all financial activities – including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and risk management while aligning with Group-level policies and objectives. The role acts as a key business partner to the companys Executive Team and collaborates closely with the Group CFO and South Africa Managing Director to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute the the companys financial strategy in alignment with Group financial objectives. Provide strategic input to business planning, investment decisions, and long-term growth initiatives. Act as a key advisor to the company leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities. 2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the preparation of annual budgets, medium-term plans, and rolling forecasts. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all financial planning processes. Monitor performance against targets and recommend corrective actions where necessary. 3. Financial Reporting & Consolidation Oversee timely and accurate daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the the company. Ensure submission of accurate the company results into Group financial reporting frameworks, templates as well as for Board review processes. Provide detailed variance analysis and insight-driven commentary to Group CFO and RSA MD. 4. Financial Controls, Compliance & Governance Implement and maintain strong internal controls in line with Group policies and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and audit requirements. Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. 5. Risk Management Identify, assess, and manage financial risks related to the the companys operations. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including liquidity and credit management. Ensure robust insurance coverage and asset protection practices. 6. Treasury & Cash Management Oversee working capital, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity management. Rigorous oversight over debtors cash collection processes to ensure cash inflow risk managed. Manage banking relationships and payment process integrity. Ensure prudent investment and financing practices. 7. Operational & Commercial Support Partner with operational and commercial teams to drive profitability and cost efficiency. Provide financial modelling, business case analysis, and decision support for major projects. Champion data-driven decision-making and performance improvement initiatives. 8. Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop the the company finance team. Promote a high-performance culture, continuous learning, and operational excellence. Ensure succession planning and capability building in the finance function. 9. Collaboration with Group Leadership Provide regular strategic and operational updates to Group CFO. Ensure alignment between the company financial operations and Group directives. upport Group-level initiatives, systems, and transformation projects. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Professional qualification (CA or equivalent) required. Minimum 1015 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 8 years in a senior leadership role. Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance. Proven ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
