Job Description
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
- Admitted as a Conveyancer (advantageous), including deeds office procedures and bond registration work.
- Sound knowledge of property law, the Deeds Registries Act, and related legislation.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining close coordination
- with the head office team in Cape Town.
- Must have own transport for deeds office attendances and signing of client documents.
- Client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and able to work under pressure.
- Professional, ethical, and reliable.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Team player who values collaboration and continuous learning.
- Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Draft, review, and finalise conveyancing-related legal documents, including Powers of Attorney and bond documentation. - Educate and guide clients on various legal and conveyancing matters, providing clear and practical advice.
- Sign bond documents on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide feedback and progress updates to clients, and internal teams.
- Liaise with financial institutions, the Deeds Office, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless processes.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Assist with preparation and lodgement of documents on behalf of the Cape Town head office.
- Attend to Deeds Office lodgements and related conveyancing processes.
