Job Description

Overview The Junior Payroll Administrator supports the payroll function by assisting with the accurate and timely processing of employee pay. This role is ideal for someone starting a career in payroll or HR, with strong attention to detail and an interest in learning payroll legislation and systems. Key Responsibilities · Help respond to employee payroll queries in a professional manner · Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files · Assist with payroll reports and audits as required · Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality requirements · Processing of all UIF documentation Skills & Competencies · Strong attention to detail and accuracy · Good numeracy skills · Basic IT skills, particularly Excel · Organised with the ability to meet deadlines · Clear written and verbal communication skills · Willingness to learn payroll software, legislation and procedures Knowledge & Experience · Previous administrative experience preferred (payroll or HR desirable but not essential) · Basic understanding of payroll processes (training will be provided) Personal Attributes · Reliable and trustworthy · Discreet with confidential information · Positive attitude and eager to learn · Able to work independently and as part of a team
