About the Role

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our team at PAR EXCELLANCE in Durban, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our food factory equipment and facilities. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be required to work independently and as part of a team to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to ensure efficient operation
• Identify and resolve equipment issues, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and quality
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and facilities
• Collaborate with Production team to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability

Requirements

• ND Eng (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) or Trade Tested Millwright/Fitter & Turner/Electrician/Refrigeration Tech.
• 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in maintenance, repairs, and projects in a frozen foods/RTE/RTH/party foods production/packing factory
• Experience with PLC/SCADA/other industrial control systems recommended

Qualifications

• Completed ND Eng (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) or equivalent qualification
• Trade Tested Millwright/Fitter & Turner/Electrician/Refrigeration Tech. certification (if applicable)

Salary & Benefits

R125000-150 000 per annum, depending on experience
