About the Role
Our client in the Engineering, Procurement and Management Industry is seeking a qualified Registered Technologist/Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing rural water, sanitation, and road infrastructure projects. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with clients, site staff, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of village water reticulation schemes
- Design sanitation schemes, both water born – and dry sanitation systems
- Design of internal surfaced and gravel roads, including storm water systems
- Compilation of Tender Documentation and Specifications
- Compilation of Feasibility Reports, Design Reports and Tender Evaluation Reports
- Conducting Site Progress / Technical meetings
- Overall Contract / Project management
- Manage the daily operations of site staff
- Interaction with Clients and business development
Requirements
- Professionally Registered as a Technologist (Pr. Tech) or Engineer (Pr. Eng) with 3-5 years experience post registration
- Willing to relocate to Vryburg but working as part of the regional office in Bloemfontein
- Travel extensively in rural areas and working overtime if required
- Have experience in the design, implementation and management of rural water, sanitation and road infrastructure projects
- Be able to undertake a marketing drive with potential Clients
- Be fluent in Setswana / English
- Understand and respect rural traditions
- Be proficient in report writing, tender documentation and conditions of contract
- Have the ability to form part of a team and manage operations of site staff
Qualifications
- Professional Registration – ECSA Certificate
