About the Role

We are seeking an experienced management couple to lead our high-end safari lodge in South Africa. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead the on-the-ground operational team in alignment with group core values and company policies
  • Maintain strong communication with the team and across all levels of management to ensure cohesive operations
  • Deliver and maintain high standards to ensure each guest has a memorable stay
  • Oversee security, health, and safety, adhering to all company procedures and SOPs
  • Implement and control budgetary systems in conjunction with head office management team
  • Proactively plan for smooth lodge operations, coordinating with support departments
  • Ensure the lodge and back-of-house operations maintain constant high standards and run effectively
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle challenges and resolve issues promptly in a remote and dynamic environment

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Formal hospitality/lodge management qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of high-end safari lodge management experience
  • Professional demeanour, mature, and well-presented
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interest in nature and activities relevant to the lodges location
  • Own transport and a valid drivers licence
  • Knowledgeable in wine and food
  • Exceptional skills in managing staff and guest relations
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing business needs, and think on your feet
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High focus on attention to detail
  • Experience in overseeing and conducting maintenance and ensuring high standards of lodge upkeep

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide guests through immersive safari experiences
  • Manage logistics to ensure smooth operations
  • Welcome guests with warm, attentive service

Requirements

  • 35 years of luxury 5-star game lodge experience
  • Tertiary qualification in hospitality or tourism
  • Proven ability to manage remote, luxury lodges with high service standards

  • Hands-on, adaptable, and committed to delivering authentic safari experiences

Qualifications

  • No formal education required (twin qualifications as the pair’s main qualification will suffice)

Salary & Benefits
