About the Role
Our client in the Manufacturing industry is looking to hire a skilled Patternmaker and CNC Router Operator to join their growing institute in Centurion. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing patterns, composite moulds, and composite parts for the aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Manufacture patterns, composite moulds, and composite parts for the aviation industry.
• Operate a 3-axis CNC (computer controlled) router to manufacture patterns.
• Hand finish patterns to a highly polished state and create composite moulds from them.
• Manufacture composite parts from these moulds using epoxy resins and wet layup techniques for the aerospace industry.
Requirements
• Experience in the aerospace composite manufacturing industry working with epoxy resins.
• Skilled in the use of 3-axis CNC (computer controlled) routers for 3D part creation.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools.
Qualifications
• Grade 12
• A recognised CNC operators qualification
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the manufacturing environment
• Formal training in basic machining principles
