About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Duty Manager for a prestigious luxury wine estate in Franschhoek. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and supervise staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally
- Ensure adherence to operational policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Support and mentor team members, providing guidance and training as required
- Coordinate between departments to ensure seamless communication and efficiency
- Monitor and report on performance metrics, staff productivity, and guest satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Assist with reservations, events, and special functions as needed
- Perform shift handovers and maintain accurate operational records
Requirements
- Previous experience in a managerial role within a luxury hospitality environment
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Professional appearance and guest-oriented approach
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Own transport to and from work
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: R20,000 – R23,000 per month (Negotiable DOE)
- 3% Provident Fund contribution
- Annual increases and performance-related bonuses
- Subsidised staff transport on Franschhoek, Paarl, Stellenbosch, and Wellington routes
