About the Role
Securejedi is building a local Managed Security Operations Centre (SOC) to deliver co-managed SOC services to enterprise and public-sector customers. We are seeking an experienced L1 SOC Analyst to perform first-line monitoring and alert triage, validate events within agreed playbooks, document findings, and escalate confirmed incidents to L2/L3 as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM/XDR dashboards and alert queues during assigned shifts.
- Perform initial triage: verify alert context, check enrichment fields, and identify false positives.
- Follow runbooks to classify incidents by severity and business impact.
- Create and update incident tickets in the ITSM/SOAR platform with accurate, complete evidence.
- Escalate validated security incidents to L2 within SLA timelines.
- Conduct daily SOC health checks (log ingestion status, failed sources, noisy rules).
- Support basic threat-intel lookups and IOC matching under L2 guidance.
- Participate in shift handovers and maintain clear operational notes.
Requirements
- 02 years of experience in SOC, NOC, IT operations, or security monitoring roles.
- Basic SIEM log monitoring and event correlation skills.
- Network/security fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, AD, HTTP/S, VPN, firewall concepts).
- Ability to distinguish normal vs suspicious activity with guidance.
- Familiarity with ITSM ticketing and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is an asset.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
