About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team at TradeOn’s Head Office in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our Fixed Asset register, processing and reconciling debts and creditors, and preparing management accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain Fixed Asset register, new builds, revamps & scrapping
- Process and reconcile Debtors
- Allocate and code Creditors (capturing done by Creditors team)
- Manage Cashbook and Petty Cash
- Prepare Journals Monthly; Payroll; Depreciation
- Bookkeeping up to Trial balance
- Prepare Management Accounts, correlation & follow-up
- Prepare VAT returns
- Salary and Wages management
- Credit card management
- Assist with coordination and planning of the annual budget process
- Maintain beneficiaries list on banking system
- Create payments
- Daily bank deposits reconciliation and follow-up, cash tracking
- Maintain monthly audit files
- Food cost correlation & follow-up
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Fluent in English
- Valid driver’s license
- 2-3 years bookkeeping experience
- Experience with Sage Evolution
- Experience with GAAP Retail Office will be advantageous
- Experience in the FMCG (restaurant) industry will be advantageous
