About the Role

A busy restaurant in Silverlakes is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen brigade. With 5+ years of relevant chef and kitchen management experience, we’re looking for someone who can manage a busy kitchen operation, handle stock management, variances, and reporting, and maintain high standards of food cost, kitchen hygiene, and administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a busy kitchen operation
  • Stock management and variance control
  • Conduct staff management and lead a kitchen brigade
  • Multi-tasking in fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant chef and kitchen management experience
  • Experience in an à la carte restaurant environment
  • Skilled in food cost, kitchen hygiene, and administration
  • Hands-on management style with ability to multi-task

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (if applicable)
  • Relevant certifications or diplomas (if applicable)

Salary & Benefits

R 15 18 K per annum
