About the Role

As a result of an awarded major EPCM project in Namibia, the client is seeking a motivated Materials Controller to join on site project team on 6:2 roster. We are looking for a skilled professional with experience in materials control and logistics to ensure the smooth operation of our construction project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Ensure stock levels are sufficient to meet project demands without overstocking.
  • Rack shipments and deliveries to ensure timely arrival on site.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to expedite critical items.
  • Oversee the receiving process, including verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
  • Ensure materials meet required specifications and standards before acceptance.
  • Maintain detailed records of material movements, usage, and storage.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for project managers and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with construction, engineering, and procurement teams to align material availability with project schedules.
  • Support planning and forecasting of material needs.
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of materials in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Follow site-specific procedures and EPCM contract requirements for materials control.

Requirements

  • Experience in mining, construction, or industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in remote or high-pressure environments.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business.
