Local Namibians encouraged to apply

As a result of an awarded major EPCM project in Namibia, our client is seeking a proactive Site Contracts Engineer to be embedded on site, supporting the delivery of a large-scale resources project on a 6:2 roster. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focusing on commercial and contractual management throughout project execution.

About the Role

  • Act as the primary site-based contracts and commercial interface between our client and their client.

  • Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, project requirements, and commercial frameworks.

  • Monitor contractor performance and assist in the evaluation and processing of claims, variations, and progress payments.

  • Maintain accurate and timely contract documentation, correspondence, and commercial records.

  • Collaborate closely with site teams including construction, project controls, and procurement to ensure contract alignment with project execution.

  • Assist in resolving contractual issues and disputes, escalating to commercial and legal teams as required.

  • Provide regular reporting on contract status, risks, and opportunities to client stakeholders.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in contract or commercial management, ideally in a site-based EPCM or client-side role.

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial terms, and claims management, particularly in remote or large-scale project settings.

  • Experience working directly with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams in high-paced site environments.

  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to build strong working relationships across engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

  • Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract frameworks is highly regarded.

Why This Role
This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of contractual and commercial management on a major mining construction project, with exposure to high-level client engagement, project planning, and site-based execution. You will play a critical role in ensuring successful project delivery, contractor performance, and commercial compliance.
