About the Role
Our FMCG client in Fourways, Sandton, Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to manage and optimize supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of solid experience in supply chain management or a related field.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.
- Monitor inventory levels, implement inventory management strategies, and ensure optimal stock levels to meet customer demand without overstocking.
- Collaborate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
Requirements
- 8 years plus years of experience in supply chain management or a related field.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and technologies.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management software).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
