About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Handyman to join our Maintenance Department at Bridgemont Property. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our properties are well maintained, safe, and operational at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain lighting, plumbing, electrical fittings, carpentry, and general fixtures
• Conduct routine inspections and log maintenance issues
• Complete maintenance work orders and reports accurately
• Support and monitor subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Respond to tenant and client maintenance queries and escalate issues where necessary

Requirements

• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Professional, resilient, and safety-conscious
• Matric (NQF Level 4; technical qualification advantageous)
• 25 years experience in a handyman, maintenance, or facilities role
• Competent in hand and power tools
• Practical knowledge of plumbing and basic electrical systems
