About the Role
One of South Africa’s leading digital retail banks is seeking an exceptional AWS Cloud Engineer to join their innovative and growing team. They believe in harnessing the power of technology to make each interaction easier, focusing on understanding the needs and goals of their clients to empower them to take control of their financial life.
Key Responsibilities
- Build out and maintain resilient, scalable, cost-effective, and high-performing Cloud solutions
- Design and hands-on troubleshooting background on AWS Platform (Azure or GCP will be advantageous)
- Develop and support infrastructure and Cloud capabilities for microservices-based architectures
Requirements
- Two years of AWS experience essential
- At least 5 years commercial experience
- Preferred candidates to come from a software development background
- Experience working in a DevOps environment
- Experience developing and supporting infrastructure and Cloud capabilities for microservices-based architectures
- Experience with authentication and Authorization technologies and protocols (LDAP, Kerberos, AD, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML)
- Experience working with scripting and provisioning tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation or equivalent
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology – IT Engineering or Engineering

R1.2m per annum cost to company, permanent position based in Sandton/Home
