About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Business Advisory Analyst to join their Business Advisory Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and reconciliations while supporting the broader finance team. You will act as the key link between the accounting and advisory teams, providing insights that drive effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Process journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity
- Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
- Support workflow optimisation through systems and tool integrations
- Manage multiple clients and deadlines independently while maintaining high standards
- Provide administrative support with high levels of accuracy and organisation
Requirements
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong experience with Xero
- Knowledge of Fathom, Syft, or Power BI (preferred)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management, planning, and prioritisation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and high level of administrative accuracy
Qualifications
- Relevant BCom degree in Accounting or Management Accounting
- Completed Articles (SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA) or In process or want to complete CIMA
- Relevant commercial accounting experience (preferably post-articles)
- Valid driver’s licence
