Mokopane: Electrician

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in Mokopane, responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the FMCG environment and be familiar with PLC and SCADA systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or N3 diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 years of experience as a qualified electrician in the FMCG environment.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport.
• Exposure to PLC and SCADA systems – good knowledge of VSDs/VFDs.
• Basic instrumentation knowledge will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade certification or equivalent.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: R25 000 – R32 000 per annum. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

• Discovery medical aid (50% contribution for member, spouse, and three children only).
• Pension/Provident fund (11% company contribution and 7.5% employee contribution).
• Guarantee 13th cheque paid on November 25th every year.
• Own car required – must have a valid CODE B driver’s license.
