About the Role
The Warehouse Supervisor at WENZ will be responsible for planning, leading, organising, monitoring and motivating the Warehouse Team. This key role ensures that all Team leaders and team members are trained in and adhere to Warehouse Floor and Stock Areas’ rules and procedures, maintaining high-quality deliverables without compromising our company’s culture and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, organise, monitor and motivate the Warehouse Team
- Ensure all Team leaders and team members are trained in and adhere to Warehouse Floor and Stock Areas’ rules and procedures
- Perform 1on1s, return-to-works, manage leave and engage within the recruitment process of new staff
- Ensure people management and IR related processes are followed
Requirements
- Ability to adopt practical approaches
- Strong organizational skills, including stock floor layout planning
- Planning, organizing, follow up and feedback
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Managing Stock on the Floor and on an ERP system should be a passion
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with English as the main medium of communication and other South African languages an added advantage.
- Must show commitment – the position requires flexibility and after-hours availability when required
- Must be able to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines
- Must be ethical – ability to put theft safety measures in place and ensure they act with integrity when managing the stock
Qualifications
Must have relevant Logistics/Supply Chain degree with Spatial Planning an advantageous extra OR 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role with proven execution/deliverables. Experience in an FMCG environment, cosmetic or pharma industry advantageous.
