Job Description
- Tertiary qualification in Agriculture (Degree or Diploma).
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in fruit industry and farming
- Fresh product knowledge (Included but not limited: Table grape, citrus, blueberry, tomatoes, peppers, and onion)
- Understanding the dynamics and interaction of fruit production, packaging, supply chain and marketing
- Knowledge of Paltrack, Dipar or QX system will be advantageous.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
- Excellent inter-personal skills with a proven ability to build, nurture and maintain relationships with growers, suppliers, receivers and internal staff
- Strong administrative and time management skills
- An in-depth and detailed knowledge of the industry, how it operates, the products and the personalities
- Good computer skills (MS Office, Office 365 Outlook, Excel, and pivot tables
- Comfortable working over multi-cultural boundaries
- A naturally gifted communicator in verbal and the written word
- Ability to multitask
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
- Proactive and energetic
- Team player
- Disciplined and focused
- Ability to work under pressure within time constraints
- Willing to complete a task which require additional time.
