Job Description

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Management or related field (essential) Minimum 810 years experience in a Sales/Marketing leadership role, preferably in FMCG or agriculture/food production Proven success in managing teams and driving local and export market growth Experience working with retailers, distributors, and trade partners in South Africa and abroad Duties and Responsibilities: Marketing and Branding Drive brand awareness through integrated marketing campaigns (digital, print, trade shows, etc.) Oversee content creation, product packaging, and marketing materials in alignment with customer and brand requirements Collaborate with R&D and Production on new product launches and value-added initiatives Strategic Sales and Marketing Planning Develop and implement annual sales and marketing strategies and budgets aligned to business goals Identify new market opportunities (local and export) and lead market entry and product positioning strategies Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine commercial approaches Sales Management Manage and lead the Sales Team to meet or exceed sales targets across product categories and channels Maintain key account relationships and lead negotiations with major buyers, distributors, and partners Oversee pricing strategies, sales forecasting, and customer agreements Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop the sales and marketing team to achieve departmental and individual objectives Conduct performance reviews, training needs assessments, and succession planning Reporting & Analytics Compile and present monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and marketing performance reports to EXCO Track ROI on campaigns, promotional activities, and key account strategies Customer Relationship Management Ensure consistent engagement with clients to maintain satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business Monitor customer service levels and address service or product quality concerns with relevant departments Behavioural Competencies: Commercial acumen and results orientation Strong interpersonal and communication skills Innovative and proactive mindset Leadership and team motivation High integrity and professional ethics Agility and ability to manage change Technical and Functional Competencies: Strategic sales planning and execution Market analysis and commercial insights Negotiation and customer account management Brand development and campaign management Budgeting and sales forecasting Proficient in CRM and ERP systems Digital marketing and e-commerce familiarity PLEASE NOTE : Thank you for your interest in this position, we will review and be in touch if you are suitable.
