About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of accounting. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process transactions daily, reconcile, load payments on internet banking.
- Manage petty cash, process receipts, and maintain daily records.
- Reconcile Bank excess cash when necessary.
- Process CODs, prepare payment documentation, and submit to finance for payment.
- Automate and reconcile all creditors documentation and forward for payment, ensuring timely payment within terms.
- Follow up on O/S payments with debtors, ensuring they stay within terms.
- Send out statements at month end, answer customer queries, and attend meetings as required.
- Monitor WIPS& Warranty, communicate with workshop staff, and manage documentation flow.
- Prepare daily reports for W/S staff and DP, discussing solutions to improve productivity.
- Prepare meeting reports for DP and department managers, attending meetings as required.
- Maintain fixed assets by preparing monthly reports, audits, new capex applications, and updating asset date files.
- Analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and budgets.
- Prepare recons and payment requests for Cape town internal creditors.
- Bookkeeping and reports of vehicle maintenance plans, preparing invoices for each vehicle on MTP.
Requirements
- BCom Degree in Accounting or similar qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in the Commercial Industry at dealer level (advantageous).
