About the Role
Farm Manager SA is seeking a skilled and experienced FARM FOREMAN to join our team in the Western Cape. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and management of our farm, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Overall maintenance and management of farm
- Ensuring daily operations and production of the farm runs smoothly and efficiently
- Livestock management
- Equipment management
- Record Keeping and Inventory
- Daily reports
- Safety and Compliance
- Machinery maintenance and servicing
- Crop Production and Management
- Staff management and training
- Assisting the farm manager with financial management (Constantly bettering budgets)
- Problem solving (Especially when coming to developing agricultural methods)
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience with stone fruit
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Must be passionate and excited for growth
- Must be self-disciplined / reliable / hands on / independent / initiative taking / trustworthy
- Strong time management skills
- Maintenance orientated
- Computer literate
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
