About the Role
Enrolled Nurse Assistants are sought after to provide compassionate care to patients in their homes or facilities, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for diverse patient populations, including adults and children with tracheostomies, elderly patients with dementia, quadriplegic patients with PEG tubes, and palliative patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic care to patients, including washing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and support with moving and toileting
- Administer medications under the supervision of registered nurses or family members
- Document patient conditions and progress
- Support activities of daily living for patients
- Monitor vital signs and record changes
- Perform basic wound care
- Manage feeds for tracheostomy babies using a feeding pump
- Observe changes in patient condition and record in daily reports
- Assess sleep routines and report back to registered nurses
Requirements
- Experience caring for diverse patient populations, including those with tracheostomies, dementia, and quadriplegia
- Strong understanding of treatment plans set by medical professionals
- Good communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Knowledge of emergency situations in home care settings
- Familiarity with geriatric, pediatric, dementia, post-stroke, ventilation, catheter, and wound care principles

- Diploma as a qualified Enrolled Nurse
