Job Description
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist is responsible for supply chain management, evaluating suppliers, review cost estimates and issue purchase orders/approval, purchasing goods and services and contract negotiations/service level agreements including KPI setting, tracking and reviews If you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, then this opportunity is for you!
Responsibilities:
- Monitor global and regional supply chain dynamics.
- Stay informed on raw material costs, geopolitical factors, and economic conditions.
- Use market intelligence reports and industry forecasts.
- Conduct regular reviews with suppliers for future needs.
- Utilize data analytics for forecasting and strategy adjustment.
- Assess supplier financial stability and risk factors.
- Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Use risk assessment tools for evaluating supplier risks.
- Identify and establish relationships with alternative suppliers.
- Finalize and approve contracts with contractors and service providers.
- Ensure adherence to local sourcing guidelines and service level agreements.
- Issue and compare purchase orders to tax invoices; report discrepancies.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Manage key supplier relationships and set KPIs.
- Communicate procurement value and benefits to internal stakeholders.
- Support departments on high-value procurement initiatives and tenders.
- Negotiate prices with existing suppliers for cost optimization.
- Provide transparency on and insights into third-party spend.
- Contribute to cross-regional initiatives for optimizing group spend
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a strategic procurement role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain or related field
- Willingness to travel, up to 20%
- Project and process management experience.
- Strong understanding of category management and advanced “source-to-contract” procurement processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- SAP experience is desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple activities and maintain focus.
- Profound analytical skills and creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Good knowledge of contract drafting and interpretation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment within a global organizational framework.
- Solid understanding of purchasing strategies.
- Financial acumen and attention to detail.
