About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly experienced and capable individual to join their team as a Stores/Warehouse Manager in the Beverage Manufacturing industry in the Eastern Cape. With a strong background in warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics within the manufacturing sector, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to contribute to the success of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the stores department in line with FSSC 22000 requirements.
  • Ensure the stores department are clean, and organized, with raw material displayed according to company guidelines.
  • Ensure and maintain accurate raw material inventory levels by conducting regular cycle counts and reconcile with the inventory management system.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory, deliveries, or store operations.
  • Oversee the factory warehouse operations including the receiving of finish goods from production and the distribution of finished goods to the distribution centre, in compliance with FSSC 22000 requirements.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance the factory warehouse operations and productivity.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all documentation meets internal and external audit requirements.
  • Train stores and factory warehouse staff on the importance of accurate record-keeping and document control in relation to food safety.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to stores and factory warehouse staff on their performance.
  • Manage staffing levels to meet operational requirements, including hiring and training new employees.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 or more years experience in warehousing and inventory management, preferably in a FMCG environment.
  • In-depth understanding of FMCG industry requirements for stores, warehousing, and distribution processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Valid Drivers license.
  • Strong knowledge of FSSC standards and requirements and the ability to ensure compliance in all areas of responsibility.
