About the Role
Network Finance is seeking an experienced Retail Tax Administrator to join our team in Johannesburg North. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting tax returns, handling tax queries and audits, performing reconciliations between revenue authorities and group entities across different countries, maintaining tax records, and staying up to date with tax legislation changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit tax returns, provisional tax, VAT, dividends tax, import duties, and related documentation
- Handle tax queries and audits, including providing information to tax authorities and auditors
- Perform reconciliations between revenue authorities and group entities across different countries
- Maintain tax records, status schedules, correspondence, and ensure payments are made timeously
- Stay up to date with tax legislation changes and apply them in calculations and processes
- Assist with ad hoc tax projects when required
Requirements
- Recognized finance-related degree at NQF Level 7 or higher
- Solid practical exposure to tax work, ideally 2+ years
- Previous experience in a tax or finance role within a larger organization will count in your favor
- Comfortable managing your own workload and getting things done
- Proven ability to juggle deadlines and keep calm when things get busy
- Sharp eye for detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator, able to engage with external authorities when needed
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks sensibly
- Good computer literacy, including confident use of Excel
Qualifications
- Completed recognized finance-related degree at NQF Level 7 or higher
