Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Planning and Compliance Analyst to join our team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all direct and indirect tax matters, ensuring compliance with SARS regulations, and providing expert tax advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all direct and indirect tax matters (Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, Withholding Taxes)
Prepare and review tax computations, returns, and reconciliations
Handle SARS audits, queries, and disputes
Provide tax input on business transactions, projects, and structuring
Identify tax risks and implement mitigation strategies
Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and assess business impact
Support month-end and year-end reporting from a tax perspective

Requirements

BCom in Accounting / Taxation (or equivalent)
5+ years’ experience in a tax-focused role, preferably within manufacturing or a similar industrial environment
Strong knowledge of South African Tax Legislation
Experience dealing directly with SARS

Qualifications

Postgraduate qualification in Tax (advantageous)
