About the Role
Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment firm in Johannesburg, is seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing bridge design projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead/Manage Bridge team
- Lead or support bid preparations and submissions
- Design Bridge and Civil Works Structural Engineering, including bridge hydrology and hydraulics
- Manage the design process of projects
- Project Management and Quality Control Management as required
- Report writing as required
- Contract administration, including the preparation of contract documentation, specifications and bill of quantities
- Checking of drawings and schedules
- Resource management of the bridge team
Requirements
- 15 years and above as a Bridge Design engineer
- BSc/BEng Engineering qualification (MSc will be an advantage)
- Professionally Registered with ECSA
- Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Revit/Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD
- Experience in the design of feature bridges will be an advantage
- Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage
- Able to lead a design team and work under pressure
- Able to work unsupervised with efficient time management
- Entrepreneurial with high business acumen
