About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for identifying opportunities and developing the market for Process Capital Equipment, as well as providing value-added solutions to clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership and a deep understanding of the Minerals industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities and develop the market for Process Capital Equipment
- Uncover client needs and match these to benefits provided by the company’s products and services
- Build support systems and service skills to capture aftermarket sales associated with installed base
- Demonstrate ESG benefits of products and plant solutions
- Draw up proposals, coordinate tests required to meet client needs, and negotiate contract terms and conditions
- Manage contract process, hand-over capital equipment orders to clients, and provide competitive pricing on crushing, process, and related plant
- Develop existing and new products to maintain competitive edge in crushing and process equipment
- Manage resources, report progress versus plan, coordinate activities of direct and support staff
- Maintain accurate records of pricing, sales, and activity reports, control expenses, and confer with customers regarding equipment needs
- Keep abreast of market trends, maintain detailed knowledge of company products or services, research competitors, and provide ongoing support and training to sales staff
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering (with preference in Process Engineering, Chem/Metallurgy)
- Relevant experience in Sales/Management (minimum 5 years) working in a similar position within the Mining, Process Equipment, or Consulting Engineering environment
- Proven track record in leadership positions with sales of Capital Equipment to the Minerals industry (preference with international experience in Africa)
- Previous knowledge of crushing and/or process plant design and operations is essential
- Proven network in the Minerals industry
