Johannesburg: Internal Sales Executive

About the Role

Our client is a rapidly expanding business operating within the premium beverage and FMCG space, with a strong national footprint and ambitious growth plans across Southern Africa. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving revenue growth through inbound lead conversion, outbound prospecting, and account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert inbound leads into active distributor or customer accounts
  • Conduct outbound telesales and prospecting to trade, hospitality, and retail clients
  • Manage existing customer accounts, reorders, and upselling opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, and follow-up schedules
  • Schedule product trials, sample drops, and coordinate handovers to field sales teams
  • Resolve customer queries relating to orders, pricing, and deliveries
  • Achieve daily activity targets, monthly revenue targets, and conversion KPIs

Requirements

  • Diploma in Sales or Business Development (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in internal sales, telesales, or inside sales
  • FMCG, beverage, retail, or distribution industry experience advantageous
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong telephonic sales and objection-handling skills
  • Experience working on CRM systems such as Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, respond.io, or similar

Qualifications

  • Valid drivers licence (advantageous)
