Job Description
- A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in maintenance management and planning
- A minimum of 1 years’ hands-on experience in maintenance or a related trade
- Holds a relevant qualification in maintenance planning, management, or in the mechanical or electrical field
- Packhouse experience will be an advantage
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.
- Experienced in leading a multidisciplinary maintenance team, fostering a safety-focused and high-performance culture.
- Proficient in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults to optimize equipment uptime and efficiency.
- Proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Assetpool), data analysis, and maintenance KPIs.
- Successfully managed projects in time, including equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS
- Scheduling and project management
- Planning, managing and controlling the maintenance budgets.
- Manage a proactive preventative maintenance strategy.
- Conduct frequent walkthroughs and regular inspections to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the facility and ensure the proper working of all electrical units and mechanical systems in the facility.
- Keep records of all day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken in the facility and place orders for spare parts and equipment for replacement and ascertaining the proper documentation of the same.
- Plan and oversee all repairs and installation activities.
- Managing and planning a digital maintenance system (CMMS).
- Comply with all corporate policies and procedures, ensure Occupational safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while carrying out maintenance functions.
