Duties:
- Manage and coordinate technology solution delivery across multiple teams
- Ensure business owners actively manage scope, priorities, and enhancement decisions
- Align Business Unit and Technology owners on collaboration models and engagement cycles
- Drive prioritisation, sequencing, and functional decomposition of work to maximise business and technology value
- Ensure work is ready for delivery teams based on capacity and velocity
- Manage iterative system evolution within defined technology boundaries
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across business and technology landscapes
- Align skills and resources to required business and technology outcomes
- Track and report on delivery progress of technology solutions and implementations
- Maintain key delivery artefacts including schedules, architecture inputs, risk logs, resource plans, cost estimates, and communication plans
- Coordinate application delivery activities, resolve organisational impediments, and ensure cross-team alignment
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks
- Oversee the planning and readiness of non-production environments (QA, UAT, testing)
- Understand and manage limitations of legacy technologies and associated risks
- Guide teams in continuously improving engineering standards and delivery quality
- Manage technical boundaries between internal and external systems, including integration layers and API
- Remove delivery impediments and drive issue resolution across teams
- Support continuous delivery maturity improvements
- Proactively manage technical debt through structured planning and remediation
- Oversee the decommissioning and sunsetting of legacy systems.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Certification in enterprise architecture or recognised technology frameworks (advantageous)
Experience:
- Proven experience leading technical delivery or software development teams
- Experience in environments requiring structured validation and quality controls
- Strong background in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience delivering in fast-paced, high-change environments
- Exposure to database or software development roles
- Experience with project management and delivery governance
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies
- Agile delivery experience highly advantageous
- Insurance industry experience advantageous
