Job Description
Please note that this position is based in the Middle East, specifically Saudi Arabia. All Relocation Costs will be covered.
The Material Engineer will provide excellence and compliance support for materials engineering and asset integrity activities under the Excellence & Compliance Department. The role ensures the reliability and compliance of critical materials, corrosion monitoring, and QA/QC practices across operations.
2. Qualifications & Experience
Education:
-
Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably Materials, Metallurgy, or Mechanical.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 10 years experience in materials engineering or QA/QC within the oil and gas industry.
Technical Knowledge:
-
Proficient in corrosion monitoring, failure analysis, material selection, and testing.
Standards & Systems:
-
Knowledge of Operational Excellence (OE) compliance, industry codes/standards, and inspection/testing methods.
Preferred Exposure:
-
Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) for material failures.

Cross-functional collaboration with inspection and maintenance teams.

Conduct material integrity and corrosion assessments in line with company standards.

Provide technical support for materials selection, inspection, and maintenance activities.

Lead and participate in root-cause analyses (RCA) for material or equipment failures.

Monitor and interpret corrosion and degradation data to recommend corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and quality assurance requirements.

Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and engineering recommendations.

Support the implementation of asset integrity improvement initiatives.
