As a result of an awarded major EPCM project in Namibia, our client is seeking a motivated Project Controls Engineer to join on site project team on 6:2 roster

About the role

• Track actual costs against forecasts and identify variances.
• Support change management and assess cost impacts of scope changes.
• Create and maintain project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and identify delays.
• Apply techniques like Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Generate regular reports for stakeholders, highlighting risks and corrective actions.
• Present cost and schedule status to senior management.
• Identify potential risks and incorporate contingencies into cost and schedule plans.
• Support mitigation strategies and scenario planning.
• Ensure adherence to project standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and quality assurance activities.

About you

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Controls.
• Experience with EPCM or large-scale mining projects.
• Proficiency in project control software (e.g., Primavera P6, Excel, SAP).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
