About the Role
A leading Commercial Bank is seeking a highly skilled Decision Science Lead to join their team at their offices in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving credit decision science initiatives and providing strategic insights to inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring outputs under the responsibility of credit decision science are aligned with goals, schemes, procedures, and standards.
- Supervising a group of experts from the Collections, Recoveries and Account Management/Granting Model function who carry out analysis to convert live business data into actionable strategic information.
- Conducting analysis to convert current business data into actionable strategic knowledge that will advise the company on crucial and quantifiable credit and risk indicators.
Requirements
- Honours degree in Mathematics or Data Science
- Masters degree in mathematics or Data Science (advantageous)
- Minimum 4 years in statistical analysis
- Experience with Extracting and Aggregating data within the retail Credit Risk Management Environment
- Experience with Data Mining and Predictive Modelling
