About the Role
AF Consulting is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Caledon, Overberg, Western Cape. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for providing full bookkeeping and accounting functions, preparing and submitting tax and statutory returns, and performing various other tasks related to accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Full bookkeeping and accounting functions
- Preparing and submitting tax and statutory returns
- Performing statutory work
- Preparing annual financial statements and working papers
- Resolving accounting and tax queries
- Calculating and submitting income tax
- General administrative duties related to accounting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Completed SAIPA / SAICA articles
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to take initiative
- Ability to work under pressure in a structured environment
- Proficient in accounting software and general computer literacy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
